Who is international for?

International provides Scout Volunteers with the information and methods they need to plan and run international activities as part of their programmes. It also encourages active participation in

By the end of this module you should be able to:

  • Explain the worldwide nature of Scouting and the role of the World Membership Badge.
  • Outline the major international Scouting events and activities and explain how young people can become involved in them.
  • Detail how international aspects feature in the Programme.
  • Suggest ways of obtaining resources, ideas and material to support the international aspects of their section’s programme.
  • Suggest ways to include/emphasise the importance of including international aspects (including visits and expeditions as appropriate) as an integral part of their section’s programming.
