Jersey Scout Band

The Jersey Scout Band was first seen out in public on May 9th, 1970.

Since starting with bugles & drums all those years ago we have now progressed to trumpets, bell lyras & drums. We take Cubs, Scouts, Brownies & Guides into the Band from all over the Island. Uniform, tuition & instruments are all provided & no musical knowledge is necessary.

Highlights in the band’s history include playing at Disneyland Paris twice, being invited to send a drum corps to play at the Queen’s Scout Parade at Windsor Castle, numerous trips to France to play and the Guernsey Battle of Flowers. We regularly feature at important local events such as the St Helier Pilgrimage, Liberation Day, Jersey Battle of Flowers, Remembrance Sunday, Highlands College Graduation Parade, Christmas Light switch on & Christmas Battle of Flowers.

Meeting Place: Kenneth Faucon Memorial Hall, Rue des Pres, St. Saviour.
Meeting Day: Thu
Meeting Times: Learners 1830 – 1915 / Main Band 1915 – 2045.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
