We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help us give Skills for Life to our young members!

Island Lead Volunteer

The Island Lead Volunteer is responsible for providing inspirational and
effective leadership for Scouts in Jersey.
As Island Lead Volunteer you will take the lead for implementing Scouts 2018-25 strategy
with your team to ensure that every youth member has access to a high-quality balanced
programme that is challenging, relevant and rewarding. As an important UK Scouts
appointment, within the England Team, you will promote and develop Scouting in Jersey
with your motivation, support and guidance to our adult volunteers and young people.
With just under 900 members, Jersey has 7 local Scout Groups along with 4 Explorer Scout
Units across the Island. As Island Lead Volunteer you will support them in ensuring
Scouting is accessible to all within our community,

Jersey Scouts are also looking for volunteers to lead and develop key Teams delivering Scouting to 900 young people in Jersey.

What Leading a Team in Scouts Means

Transformation Lead

The Transformation Lead drives our 2018-2025 Skills for Life Strategy forward and leads on implementing change for Scouts in the Island. They prepare and support the island as it embraces and achieves positive change that helps more young people gain Skills for Life. For an overview of the role click here.

Group Lead Volunteers

Working with the Group Leadership Team help volunteers across all Group Sections to work well together and feel motivated. Ensuring that a challenging, exciting and balanced programme is offered to young people in the Group. For more information about the tasks of the Group Leadership Team click here.

Island 14-24 Team Leader

Working with the 14–24 Team support all volunteers in Explorer (including Young Leaders) and Network Sections. They help Section teams plan and deliver great programmes for young people. For more information about the tasks of the 14-24 Team click here

Island Support Team Leader

Working with the Island Support Team to provide tools and resources to help Scouts run smoothly in the Island. For more information about the tasks of the Island Support Team click here
