We are proud to have been based in and around St Helier since 1954. During that time we have moved several times. At present, we hire the community hall at the Salvation Army building beside Minden Place Car Park. We have a good relationship with the Salvation Army and although Scouting isn't made up of a single religious organisation, each year we have two or three church parades with them.
Some of the types of activity that we have taken part in recently are: Archery, Camping, Coastal Traversing, Hiking, Kayaking, Pistol & Rifle Shooting, Swimming, Zorbing... and the list goes on.
We as a group will be celebrating our 60th Anniversary in 2014 in many and varied ways. Some of the idea's already suggested include - Camping on Brownsea Island - 60 things to do in 60 days, which will be a set of Scouting challenges for the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders - Gala Dinner and I'm sure there will be other Fun activities for everyone who is, or has been a member of the Group to take part in.
If you are or know someone who has been a member of the 14th Jersey Scout Group, please drop us a line HERE, as we'd like to invite as many people to take part in our 60th celebration as possible.
